What do I Eat on a Budget ??!
When I am a bit tight on money my typical process at the supermarket involves
★ Step 1) Deciding on which two protein sources I feel like for the week
★ Step 2) Deciding on which flavour/seasoning/creation I feel like
** Sometimes this comes before the protein selections
★ Step 3) Grab veggies that go with it (fresh, tinned or frozen depends what it is)
★ Step 4) Grab some carbs sources
That's it! So this weeks list for example
- Beef stir fry strips
- Beef mince
- Beef and black bean sauce
- Taco seasoning
- Salad mix
- Coleslaw mix
- Tinned corn
- Cucumber
- 2 Tomatoes
- Tinned chickpeas
- Tinned crushed tomatoes
- Eggs
- Loaf of bread
- 2 Microwave bags of rice
- Bananas
- 1 Malteser Bunny :)
