My dog ate my... 100% plant based chicken strips!!
Product Review: Chicken Free Strips
(100% plant based)
I tried this product a couple of months ago and was really excited at the time to give it a crack. I had seen some advertisements for it going around and in the add everyone was saying 'I cant believe its not meat' or 'I would never tell the difference' so I had high hopes. I will run through my personal experience/reaction...
1) ooh which flavour do I want (went with the 'non spicy' option)
2) opened the box .. for some reason I was surprised it was vacuum packed
3) actually followed the cooking instructions (which I never do)
4) wonder if visually this was good as it was going to get
5) yup, ok lets give it a taste
6) doesn't look like chicken, doesn't taste like chicken, I don't really want to eat this
7) give it to Cooper to try, he seems to like it .. so that's his dinner sorted
(Cooper is my 2 year old, Blue Eyed Australian Sheppard who I love so much)

Images: 1) Front of box packaging and vac packed product 2) The 'chicken' in the pan 3) The 'chicken' still in the pan 4) The 'chicken' in a bowl (note which was transferred to Cooper's dog bowl)
There are apparently 3 serves per pack and per serve the Nutrition is
- 13.3g Protein
- 4.6g Fat
- 9.2g Carbs
Had I of enjoyed it I probably would have struggled to split that ^^ into 3 and would of over consumed significantly. So if this product does tickle your taste buds just be mindful of your serving sizes
